Vacations in February can be difficult!

We started our vacation on Monday night. Our goal was to make it to Roseburg, sleep in a rest stop in the van overnight, then continue to Gold Hill to our campsite.
Along the way we discussed how it was kind of embarassing to sleep in rest stops in the van with our ridiculous "curtains". We decided to stop in Eugene along the way and buy some fabric. We bought a hot glue gun (John keeps a power converter in the van) and some amazing fabric to fix our problem...

This was what our "curtains" looked like before. It looked the same on the outside, minus the numbers. This is some sort of insulation from The Home Depot that we cut down to window size. It's horribly ugly but makes an amazing difference in how warm we are at night.

This is the fucking awesome fabric we picked out!

Kind of hard to see with the glare, but it looks pretty good!

After our curtain making pit stop we got back on the road to make it just outside of Roseburg. A crappy night of sleep awaited us but who cares, we're on vacation!
