Goodbye, Alaska! Hello, Canada!

I'm currently sitting at the Ketchikan ferry terminal. It's 4:10 am. I've had 1.5 hours of sleep. Whoo!
We will be in Prince Rupert B.C. This afternoon, then headed south, back home!
Here's some pictures!

Jacob refuses to smile lately. Cute!

There was a huge, windy storm. This tree got uprooted and fell into a chicken coop. Poor chickens! Notice fire hydrant for size.

Influenced by the lumberjacks. I will have you know that I was the first one to throw the hatchet and have it stick in the stump. Oh, on the first try too, but who's counting? I am! Suckers!

Frog Pond Trail. Jamie and I used to ice skate on this pond when we were kids. She has informed me I need to move back so we can ice skate in the winters. Hmm...... Okay!

Big moose, little moose.
As John took this picture some lady yelled at me, "Where's your pride?"
Right here lady! This girl has no shame!

Wall of xtratufs, the norm footwear up here.

Cement heart in front of the library. I took this picture for Davy and Jamie. All together now... "awww!!".
I should be home by Friday. Talk at ya then!

The good (news), the bad (news), and the ugly (weather)

Good news and bad news.
Good news is, we had a great day going to The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, and, driving out to the north end of the island today!
We saw totem poles, explored Ward Lake, and drove to the end of the road!
The bad news is, we decided not to go to Prince of Wales. It's just way too expensive with 4 people. I'm bummed, but... oh well!
Here's some photos of my day.

Lumber jacks!

There's dead fish EVERYWHERE. They don't smell great, but they're fun to photograph. Just look at those fangs!

Totem poles!

Taxidermy eagle.

As usual, it's raining. Oh, and there's supposed to be gusts up to 60 tonight. Fun!
More later.
Bye!

Tats, totems and torrential rain

Precious Moments, anyone?

We got our first tattoos! A totem owl for Jamie and a tribal eagle for me!

One final hoorah at Hole in the Wall. They are closed for the season now!

Yay! They're here!

I took this picture for Seth. My breakfast with lots of delicious white trash sauce!

Crap ton of rain.

Old totem.

Newer totem.

Saxman.

The tram to Cape Fox.

This seagull took a huge poop right in front of us. Nature!

Dead fish. It smelled wonderful here.

The Aleutian Ballad boat from The Deadliest Catch!

The rain went away and there was a nice sunset!

The lumberjack show is tomorrow! If it stops raining for a minute, gold panning too! Ciao!

Mushrooms and Jamie

I'm feeling much, much better! Little 48 hour flu bug!
I've been hanging out with Jamie lots, helping her with post wedding errands. The weather has been dreadful. Fun!

Chainsaw mushroom.

Muscat.

Jamie got a haircut. Cute!

So stormy I had to buy a rain coat. I got it at a tourist store on clearance for $10.00. It says Alaska. I'm a tourist.

Out to dinner! Old friends. Cue Simon and Garfunkel.

This is the wedding gift I got for Jamie and Davy. It actually goes over a teapot!

Wedding gifts!

Holly and bear.

Holly and Squall.

Sick in Alaska

I have some sort of flu bug. I vomited multiple times yesterday and am still feeling really crappy. I always seem to get sick on vacation. Oh well.
It's really stormy here. Non-stop rain and gusts up to 40. I love it!

We had one last stop at Hole in the Wall. It was a treat! Free crab!

Wow. I guess someone doesn't like it here.

Friday was the reception and it was an absolute blast. It was great seeing people I hadn't seen in close to 10 years.

Jamie, the beautiful bride!

Me and my mom, all fancied up.

Waldo, being Waldo.

Jamie, spoiling Seth!

End of the night.

John and the kids will be here Tuesday night. I can't wait.
Ciao!
